Ascend Venture Capital ("Ascend," "we," "us," or "our") is a venture capital firm based in Seattle, Washington. Contact and pitch submissions: your name, email address, company name, role, website, and any details, pitch decks, or attachments you send us.
Newsletter signups: your email address and, if provided, your name.
Job board activity: on jobs.ascend.vc you may create a profile or apply to roles at our portfolio companies. This can include your name, contact details, resume, work history, LinkedIn profile, and job preferences.
Other communications: anything you include when you email us or contact us on social media.
Information collected automatically
Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and the date and time of your visit.
Approximate location: general location (such as city or country) inferred from your IP address.

5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
Service providers that host, run, or support the Website for us, such as Framer (website hosting), Google (analytics), our email or newsletter provider, and our job board platform provider. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Portfolio companies: if you use the job board, your profile and application details may be shared with the portfolio companies you apply to or that are hiring for roles that match your profile.
Co-investors and advisors: we may share pitch materials with trusted co-investors or advisors as part of evaluating an opportunity. We treat pitch materials as confidential business information.
Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, a subpoena, or a court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ascend, our users, or others.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
The job board at jobs.ascend.vc is hosted by a third-party provider and may also be governed by that provider's own privacy policy.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as the law requires. You can unsubscribe from newsletters at any time, and we will stop sending them.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
